Pros

C1 has good benefits and compensation,

Cons

Work-life balance is a joke in some of the Biz lines, specifically Enterprise. They have a systematic process for silent layoffs twice a year, through Performance Review Process. The % of the layoff varies based on many factors and they cover it under performance convo. That is, you many not be a low performer, but if you are in that below percentage, they'd fire you in the name of low performer. Diversity in hiring is a bit more than other Financial companies, but there is a lot of discrimination along the way. For instance, they hire White people and Indians 1-2 levels above their competency level and the rest are hired 1-2 levels below their competency levels. People hired from Startups or Amazon failures are usually not capable of performing in their levels, and put the pressure on their directs. Your Mental Health easily declines because of such managers.

Pros

Note- last year there was 2018, would not allow that option. Employee engagement always high priority.

Cons

Note- last year there was 2018, would not allow that option. Highly focused on sales vs service.

Pros

Some of the smartest individuals in their fields. The focus is always “forward” and the company is willing to adopt new tech to stay ahead for the purposes of the company’s (key word there) benefit. Great PTO and benefits.

Cons

The company’s drive to keep itself moving forward has caused it to regress in other aspects. As a leading tech company first, and leading bank second, it’s embarrassing what their stance is on hybrid and remote work. The company can easily accommodate remote options for their employees not near main offices, but chooses not to. I am relocating to a major city with no major CapOne presence and their response was “too bad, either fly up weekly or you’ll be terminated for not meeting the hybrid requirements”. It’s embarrassing because most of my week is remote anyways. I wonder how many current and past employees have been impacted, and I’m worried about how much talent they’ll be pushing away in the coming years.
