Pros

Nothing comes to my mind when I have to think of "pros" of working in CBRE India's Consulting team. The only good thing is probably the nice office spaces - sometimes at par with the largest MNCs!

Cons

The "cons" list is never ending for CBRE Consulting & Valuation team. Worst are the managers who come with a sense of false pride and ego thinking they own their employees. The manager's do not respect their employees and treat them very shabbily. The manager's (and those who have spent 2-3 years in the company) only sit and forward emails asking others to do it asap and then take all the credit for the work. Funniest are the jerks (aka managers) who give the employees work which might take half a day or at times even 2-3 days but expect it to be completed quickly and shout at the employees saying "yeh toh paanch minute ka kaam hai" (this is a five minute job in Hindi). If its a five minute job then why can't these idiotic managers do it themselves? Bloody they think employees are their slaves??? Company expects the employee to be at their service 24X7 - no weekends no emergencies!! They bloody think they own the employees! A very dirty and third rate perverted work culture in the consulting & valuation team in CBRE. Stay as far away as possible!

Pros

Honestly? Not much. The vision insurance was decent, I guess. Truthfully though, there wasn't much.

Cons

Management's refusal to allow employees freedom. I routinely got praise from the client and hit the maximum score on my goals. If things weren't done "by the book", they were wrong. The health insurance was awful. Going to self-employment, one of the things that you hear is that you're going to pay a lot for health insurance. However, I'm actually paying LESS than when I worked for CBRE. When you work for CBRE, don't consider job security something that you're going to have. I saw two employees with 15+ years for the company get laid off, with zero severance and no option to transfer elsewhere, unless they wanted to uproot their families and move states for more work and a pay cut. This is the worst company that I've ever had the displeasure to work for. If you have literally any other option of employment, please consider doing that.
