Initial Judgement based on reviews by people who might not even know technology
Not that much work. So if you do your work and don't get vocal about what you have done its equivalent to not doing any work.
Visibility is over valued.
Some colleagues don't follow RISES.. If you don't give respect you are not going to get it. People feel entitled because they have spent more time in the company.
People who have been with organization for long enough assume seniority in aggressive ways and that can seem very unprofessional at times.
Even the people with expertise in a skill are ignored in discussions relates to that skill just because they are new joiners.
More importance given in discussions to people who are more experienced in organozation even though they are making the same point as their new joinee colleagues..
In fact at times people copy someones view in front of them and state them as their own... That's what happens when visibility brownie points are linked to bonuses.
Pathetic on boarding.
