Managers maintain very professional demeanor. Mandatory training includes course that train managers not to yell at their subordinates. After Goldman you would feel like relaxing on (wild) resort.
Cons
First year managemment promises good bonuses, promotions, in exchange to long hours of product development and sleepless nights of product support, but then delivers nothing at the end of the year. Next year you are extremely frustrated and don't deliver that fast. Some people jump, some wait hoping to get a package at the end of the quarter when layoffs happens. If you happen to stick for another year you will loose even more in your total comp. But there always be a story that it's not you, it's market situation that drives your comp down. Quality of people in IT distributed as AAA grade ~1%, B+ ~3% and D~96%. The phenomena are easily explained by a simple inability to pay.
