A great place to work - Scrum Master/Developer BASF Employee Review

Pros

I would say that family balance, nice teammates and good salaries would be the biggest pros. I could also mention that the path is pretty established, and the rest of the teams in other countries already know that Madrid HUB is a respected place for software development. For now, there is 80% home office (with COVID, sometimes it turns to 100%). If this doesn't change, I see myself growing and working for many years in BASF Digital Solutions.

Cons

During the interview, you could be told about some role/s you will be having, but it could be that it is not totally true. The good part is that you can raise your voice and try to have that role you entered for. It happened to me, and my supervisor was happy that I "fought" for having that role that I was told in the beginning.

Pros

Great benefits, hybrid & remote roles, great colleagues to work with. Great vacation /time off. Helpful colleagues

Cons

Reorganizations (roughly 3 years), IT roles dwindling in North America(moving to India), teams can get very silo-ed, “not my role” = not helping you (when you are looking for answers/assistance), currently seeing a lot of movement out of New Jersey (roles moving to other parts of the country), some organizational charts can be confusing, huge organization(can be difficult at times pinpointing the exact team you may need to work with)
