Pros

- Interesting, cool, 'do-good' domains - design, architecture, animation, fabrication, 3d printing. - Israeli office compensation and benefits above industry average. - Products make positive and constructive impact on the world. - Israeli office 'simple employees' usually nice, friendly and very devoted. There's weekly soccer, choir, and some employees even go travelling abroad together annually!

Cons

These cons relate to the Israeli branch only. - Israeli office lost its startup spirit and intimate family company-like feel due to poor management (and not due to organic growth). - It is not uncommon for promotions to be affected by nepotism and internal politics rather than merit - Little care for the personal growth and career progression of existing employees. - Managers often treat employees in a patronizing, antagonizing and unappreciative manner. - Poor management leads to cumbersome project progress, and project-related decisions are made based on internal politics rather than what's best for the project and the company. Cross-site projects are especially ineffective. - While a couple of years ago the products developed at the Israeli office were at the forefront of technology and company strategy, most of the current work is focused on MAINTENANCE, without innovating much. - Office location is difficult to access for employees residing outside central Tel Aviv.

Pros

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Cons

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
