Pros

Fast growing company with lots of growth still to go - Autodesk is under going a business model transformation, in the last 3 years they have expanded from 12 people to over 400. This gives staff lots of opportunity to develop skills and move into new roles that did not even exist. Check the stock price to see how much its grown! Great company culture - No matter who you talk to in the business you will find knowledgeable, hard working passionate people. Everyone wants you to succeed and they have no hesitation in helping you. This is a great feeling when you first start as its a steep learning curve. Across the organisation targets are high but realistic, when the office first opened the targets were too easy and people got complacent. Also I can see that a few mistakes were made initially in the recruitment process and some of the sales people had no sales skills at all. As the company goal is growth, the targets must grow too. Needless to say, the people who could not adapt to change have left. Salary is fair and based on experience, if your not happy with your proposed salary when joining then there´s plenty of other companies in Barcelona. The salaries are reviewed internally twice a year. If you work hard, prove your value and go above and beyond it´s possible to get a raise for your efforts. Great benefits package. Great international vibe - As the team is made up of lots of nationalities it´s great to work daily with expats from all over the world. The office has ping pong, table football, PlayStation, chill area´s, free coffee and fitness classes. Management style is situational based on skill level, ability, motivation, if you need help you can get ask for it in many other places than your direct manager. If you work hard and do your job, you can expect praise and support. If your not pulling your weight or your bringing negativity to the team then your days will be numbered.

Cons

For a technology company the data management can be frustrating, lots of time spent on looking for information across multiple platforms. The commission model is a tough one to get your head around for sales teams, the way it works is based on territory not individual performance. So the laziest person in the company can get paid the highest mount of bonus!

Pros

Autodesk has, hands down, one of the warmest and most supportive corporate cultures I’ve ever experienced. From day one, people were welcoming, respectful, kind, and genuinely available to help. Even as a contract worker, I never felt like an outsider. I felt included, trusted, and treated like part of the team. The marketing team was an incredible group: collaborative, smart, generous with their time, and always willing to answer questions. Autodesk also has a true teaching culture. You never feel silly for asking questions, and there is a clear willingness across teams to help people learn, improve, and succeed. Operationally, the company was also impressively efficient. The technology, meeting tools, scheduling systems, and general workflows made it easy to connect with people, set appointments, collaborate, and keep work moving without unnecessary friction. Overall, Autodesk set the bar for what a healthy corporate culture can feel like: organized, human, respectful, inclusive, and genuinely collaborative. Pros: Warm culture, helpful people, strong tools and technology, respectful teams, inclusive environment, great marketing organization.

Cons

As a contractor, I only wish the experience had been longer.
