AWS provides high quality training to employees that benefit both Amazon and the employees. In my experience, compensation, and encouragement for innovation, and clear results lead to high reward and job satisfaction. Business casual attire (more so casual), social groups, and Amazon's commitment to hiring the best makes the work environment a pleasant and fun place to be.
Cons
Work/life balance as a dedicated Amazonian can be challenging, but there are many great resources for learning and applying time management.
