Pros
- The company hires great people. You will meet some new friends! - The pay is great for your first job out of college. If you put in the hours, the bonus is great! - In my experience, if you build good relationships with your clients they are generally very appreciative of the hard work you put in. - I got a lot of great hands on experience early on in my career. Although, a lot of this experience came from me being wrung dry and overworked, I can now say that although it was difficult and challenging, it has helped me in my new job search.
Cons
- There is NO work-life balance. Senior leadership is extremely demanding. I would frequently get called out if I did not respond to a late night client email - I had to explain I was literally sleeping because it was a 10 or 11 PM client email. - Expanding on the above, if we did not answer a client email over the weekend that would also be called out too. - If myself or my team members left their desk at 6PM to go home and senior leadership noticed it would become an agenda item on the 1:1 - this employee is disengaged and not working hard enough... - Everyone in the office is struggling with their mental health...that is just so sad and so toxic. - Towards the end of my time at the firm the mico-managing got so bad. I was being called out for coming back from lunch 5~10 minutes late and having small talk with colleagues in the kitchen area.
