Pros

Working at AlphaSights is quite a unique experience: The company is big enough for you to feel like you are part of a well established multinational company (Afterall there are offices in London, Hong Kong, Dubai and New York) but the employees take great care of keeping that start-up vibe alive. Open office, no cubicles. Entry level analysts are trained for a few weeks and mentored, this laid back but robust tutoring structure was a decisive factor in my decision to choose to work at AlphaSights. New employees are expected to talk to C-Level executives very quickly and are also expected to take on responsibilities in order to make the company grow: Employees are encouraged to make an impact on the company. Last but not least there are lots of social events: Weekly happy hours, sports events, mixers with other start ups as well as group sports outings to some of NYC's major team games.

Cons

Expect to work long hours, it is not a 9-5 job! Alphasights definitely tries to ensure that their employees stay at the office under very good conditions though, so it makes it bearable. It is a very social environment so if one is not keen on being part of a team of driven young professionals this might not be the right place. Benefits could be a tad better but then again management is constantly improving its terms.

Pros

All around really great people culture, for the most part everyone is super driven and willing to help You definitley do earn early responsibility especially if you show early aptitude It's fun getting to own client relationship at a young age

Cons

Work and day can be tedious and feel repetitive, you must like talking to people all day, every day The hurdle performance tracking can be stressful for younger Associates Increasingly tighter competition as clients seek to find cheaper alternatives Exit opportunities can feel limited to account management/customer success work
