Upper management in my department was awful and very much based on politics. One MARRIED man in particular - still there I might add - had an alcohol problem that would very much affect other employees. If he was drinking at an after work function or a work dinner/event, he would become inappropriate to female colleagues - including me at one point. He's faced a talking to from HR once for lewd behavior & yet, he still has a job & sits on the leadership team.
I felt like leadership did not have the best intentions for employees. They often claimed to be transparent, but rarely were. Only for the first year did I ever really feel "safe" in my job, then when I saw three people in our department get fired in one day (very obviously and during the middle of the day), I got very anxious & nervous. Many of us did. The dynamic changed.
I'm glad I got the work experience I did, but I do not miss that place. At all.
