Pros

Good work life balance - there is rarely any delivery pressure here.

Little to no career progression Lots of beaurocracy and politicking at all levels Product and engineering operate in effectively in silos from one another Far too much ambivalence from management towards poor performers

Pros

the content in the health care educational books is outstanding. They have some of the oldest and award winning authors that really know the content well.

Cons

Management is the number 1 problem. Their are managers that have been there for decades that still do things the way they did in the stone age. Publishing industry has to change with the times and so should management.
