      Corporate Americas with a good culture

      Pros

      Eaton is corporate america at its best and worst. There are lot of opportunities in the company, especially if you are willing to move. The corporate culture is good and employees are generally caring.

      Cons

      The IT systems are aged to say the least.

      Pros

      There are opportunities to learn and there are good people to learn from. The old timers have most of the knowledge and they are willing to share it. Friendly co-workers. Layoffs are not common. I think management started to get connected with the rest of the organization in the last couple of years. And I am still getting paid.

      Cons

      The working environment can be stressful at times. Those who have been there the longest are buried. Sadly low hanging fruit (from a task standpoint) does not get picked because there are not enough people to do it. No monetary rewards come evaluation time (lucky to get 2-3%) no bonuses for non managerial positions. Lack of of career advancement. Old office space and production environment.

      Work culture is laid-back. Really depends on where you work. Knowledgeable staff.

      Cons

      Middle management can be galvanized to perform better. Does not have a clue about business unit activities. Random people visit random sites to give random speeches.
