Pros

Having worked for another industry leader, in comparison, Eaton was much better in salary, benefits, and work life balance. The place an emphasis on safety and training, and all of my co-workers are very competent. My team actually demonstrates teamwork all the time. I see people with 37 years, 25 years, 20 years .... this company values productive individuals.

Cons

We work most holidays, that doesn't bother me, but I have seen people leave and that was one of the issues they vocalized.

Pros

The company offers many professional development opportunities. There is even an "Eaton University" where you can attend (in person or virtual) many interest or career related courses. In setting yearly goals, you can see how aligned your goals are with your manager's goals, all the way to the CEO's goals. Also very collaborative culture... We were encouraged to share best practices and reach out to other Eaton employees across the globe! Very ethical company. Unlike some companies I've worked for, this company definitely "walks the talk"!

Cons

As with any large corporation, it's easy to feel like a cog in the wheel. Also tends to have too much red tape sometimes but nothing that I felt to impede with my work.

Pros

- Good work/life balance - Ethics - Value professional and personal growth - Streamlined operations (and always improving) considering its a 100k employees business - Good employee evaluations

Cons

- No wage increase or bonus even for employees well above average at their evaluation. So no real incentive to over-perform. - Company struggles to keep earnings on target. So even if sales did not meet target, most employees won't get their yearly salary increase. Increases won't even cover inflation. - Uneven salaries across offices/locations. - Many silos still to be merged across acquisitions, but this is slowly improving.
