Pros
predictable, repetitive work - unchanging environment. If you enjoy being micromanaged this is the place to work.
Cons
Sales have steadily declined every year since the current Filtration GM has been at the helm (8+ years). In 2022, the business group is relying on inflation and price increases to achieve record sales numbers, not because the share of market is expanding or because of organic growth. The majority of team members Salary band 7 and below (individual contributors) have been doing the same job for decades. Most are just waiting on retirement. There is no interest to change or try new things. The North American filtration business comprises primarily of 2 major acquisitions made throughout the years and each of those businesses still tries to operate like the "good ole days". "Back in the [pervious company] days we used to do it this way." is said regularly throughout the day. Neither is interested in collaboration or moving forward uniformly as one business. The HR function is a revolving door of 2 years and out. There are no career growth opportunities as management prefers to look outside the business to fill open managerial positions. All decisions and control is with the GM - she has to approve,/sign off on every decision or request in the business - there is minimal trust throughout the organization.
