Pros

I really respect the partner team in London and the business they have built. Promotions are not as fast as they could be, but they are fair and people who get promoted deserve it. Interesting projects and a commitment to developing their people, with lots of support for high-performers.

Cons

Low performers definately do not succeed here -- they are either managed out or ignored / not staffed on jobs until they leave. Promotions are slow-coming and the organisation is top-heavy.

Pros

The brand sells when it comes to your CV. Globally recognised, and you get a chance to work with some very bright people.

Cons

Analysts have no growth path and get paid almost nothing. Gets very frustrating, as there is absolutely no exposure to business world.

Pros

Easy to find another job after Ernst & Young, even in a down economy. Lost of opportunities to learn and develop skills necessary.

Cons

Two weeks after the lead audit partner stating that no pending layoffs were in store; layoffs occurred without much regard to performance. Additionally, pay is quite low, the firm does not pick up very much of the health benefits, and the hours are awful.
