      Ernst & Young, underpaid and overworked - what else would you expect from public accounting?

      Pros

      Quick progression in terms of knowledge gained while working at the firm. As most employees on your audit team are young, it can be a fun place to work.

      Cons

      Compensation adjustments don't match performance and effort. Management occasionally demands the impossible as far as getting work done and the amount of time given to complete the work. Disconnect between work done by management and audit staff/seniors.

      Pros

      Very supportive environment with friendly people and great job opportunities. Able to travel and work for other locations. They are very flexible and willing to support people who need time off work for various reasons. They have great reviews which include setting goals for the coming year. The provide lots of support for people sitting their accountancy exams. Great place to work.

      Cons

      Not really any cons besides the occasional stocktake that must be attended on the weekend. Other than that there is nothing bad I could say about working there.
