Pros

Excellent Work colleagues during period

Cons

Senior management has no respect for staff by not introducing themselves when on site and not allowing for any opinion to be heard when they are on 80k a year perhaps they think they do not have to have manners. And no induction carried for the period employed and the number of times you have to send paper work to HR is unbelievable. Staff leaving after one week because of poor organisation and incorrect information being told to staff members just to get them onto the contract. Be very careful when joining this organisation as certain thinks being told at the interview stage do not materialise when you join make sure everything is documented in your contact. Be careful with your opinion as you will be out of the door even if it is just questions you need answered to carry out your job efficiently. VERY POOR SENIOR MANAGEMENT NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOW CONTRACT HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED FROM THE BEGINNING. THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR INADDAQETCES AND BLAME LOWER LEVEL STAFF.

Pros

ENGIE Insight (formerly Ecova) was a great place to start my in-house career. I came into ENGIE having little experience as an in house attorney but my manager gave me all the tools to learn the position and to be successful at it. The legal team at ENGIE is a very close knit group and is truly a team where everyone is allowed to contribute and grow. Outside of the legal team, the greater organization was very inclusive and passionate about their work. Before the Portland office closed, there was a great office culture and you truly felt everyone enjoyed working toward the goal of architecting the future of sustainability management.

Cons

Lots of change has occurred over the last year, including the closing of a great office in Portland and co-locating individuals. The Portland office closure and policy of co-location lead to a loss of some great talent. The closure of the Portland office was the main reason I choose to leave. In addition, pay needs to be competitive with the overall market-place.
