Pros

North American unit is a growing company in the deregulated retail electric power industry as well as wholesale power and gas. Company has newer initiatives in renewables and retail gas. ENGIE North America has matured over the years compared to the initial years, but it is a solid company with many opportunities and loyal employees.

Cons

As with many maturing companies, systems age and need upgrading. Human resources is poor. Upper level executives rotate so there have been good and bad years depending on the leadership.

Pros

Coming into a junior role I found there to be good growth opportunities. Flexible schedule, pay was average but great bonuses and profit sharing, great benefits

Cons

Company was changing drastically and no longer the same place to work. Did not seem to have a clear vision anymore. Huge cost cutting measures and lay offs. Forgot how to treat people at the end.

Pros

Pay is lower than their peers, but turnover is lower and there's better job security You get to work on big projects directly and have a lot of responsibility, but recognition is based on your boss's willingness to communicate it to others

Cons

It's very slow about pushing new strategies Previous management mostly cared about their bonus structure at the risk of the entire group's performance (unwilling to lower sales price in most exposed markets to put together deals in competitive markets)
