Getting Worse

Pros

Benefits are fairly good, relaxed atmosphere especially in Swing Shift, some coworkers are good

Cons

Lack of training, lack of quality control. All anybody in charge seems to care about is numbers which means the 'best people' according to management ends up being cherry-pickers and those who provide shoddy work. Actual quality of the work provided means nothing, which means that the people that actually care about their job and want to do a good job end up picking up the slack for the people that don't care which leads to those who actually care quitting in frustration. Pay used to be somewhat good but with the increases in minimum wage, those who used to make a good bit above minimum are now only a little bit above minimum and no real plans for that to change for at least 9 months and frankly I'd be surprised if anything significant actually happened then either.

Pros

Most people you come across are helpful and easy to work with. Relatively low pressure environment, though can often work as a negative. Middle management are left with little or no time to man manage, either you're someone that thrives in this situation or someone that will struggle. If you like to take your initiative and work autonomously, generally with only high level guidance, you will probably do well and progress relatively quickly. Staff are encouraged to take ownership and are generally left to manage their own workloads. Decent benefits package, though it's whittling away over time.

Cons

Business still not found its feet since the group merger 3 years ago. If you like a structured support and processes, you will hate it. Opportunity to progress but there is a relatively low ceiling for salaries. You will have to accept ENGIE is a stepping stone if you are ambitious. Little to no training available. A big deal is made of resource available but the content is weak, when asked for specific courses nothing ever gets delivered. Internal politics holds the company back on a daily basis. People are trapped in a cycle of covering themselves, often not being honest about performance. Most staff will struggle to articulate the business' vision and how we are going to achieve it. This is largely because Senior Management aren't able to either... A lot of talented staff are leaving. Its creating a vacuum that in the short/medium term is making it a very frustrating place to work.

Pros

I really cant think of any. I don't get why people like it. Claims of no micro management, but you submit time trackers daily and are watched to the point of which door you scan out through... There was nothing good about this place.

Cons

Being employed there The training Everything.
