Pros

PTO accrual rate is relatively generous, however individual managers will prevent you from taking it.

Cons

First and foremost, the health benefits are nearly useless. If you need usable heath coverage, this job does not provide it. A large number of local doctors will not accept the health plan that the company has chosen. There is no functional HR department. HR consists of a few local employees, who are predominately unreachable, and then a larger outsourced department that does not respond to requests. I had coworkers who were harassed at work, and ENGIE has no framework to address critical issues like those. HR requests are entirely ignored or swept under the rug. Tech support is a huge issue as well. My entire department was WFH, however IT consists mostly of outsourced contractors, and they do not have sufficient knowledge about internal systems to be able to address problems. As such, internal systems are down constantly, which is a nightmare when your performance is judged on production metrics. You will not be given the basic tools you need to accomplish your job here. The salaries are low, even by local standards. Raises are mostly non-existent and bonuses were very rare in my department. When we did receive bonuses, they were often insultingly low (occasionally as little as $50). The work culture is toxic, the managers are unsupportive, and in lower-level positions you will be expected to work overtime on a regular basis. I quit my job here because the company was committing wage theft. My department expected employees to complete time-consuming administrative tasks off the clock, even though I was only making minimum wage. You constantly have to fight for lost hours, incorrect paychecks, etc.

Pros

PTO is very good, the people are awesome.

Cons

We recently were given notice of our annual merit raises. Up until this year, the maximum given was 4%. This year, they decided that the maximum would be lowered to 2.5%, claiming that they want to focus on quarterly bonuses because they're "more useful." First, quarterly bonuses are based on goals that must be met, meaning that if they are not given, the employees themselves can be blamed for it instead of the company itself. Second, more taxes are taken from the bonuses than from paychecks. Third. having a continuous, guaranteed higher pay is a good thing. Second, while they were "generous" enough to start paying us the new minimum wage in the state two months early, this took at least three positions with different skill levels to the same pay. They're "looking at" compression, so they say. They've said this before, every year since I've worked there (7 years), because compression is a constant problem there. They've done little bits here and there, but not nearly enough. It seems that greed is becoming Engie Impact's mantra. Note: Last year, a huge client was signed, meaning the company got a nice large boost in revenue. It would be nice if they would feel inclined to pass that on to employees in a permanent fashion. Lies and broken promises seem to be the specialties of this company. It's far too bad that employees look to have voted down unionizing (something the company sent an e-mail out discouraging). We sure need it.
