Pros

Being able to work remotely and have a relatively flexible schedule is fantastic. I've met a lot of great people at Dynatrace, and there are many aspects about the company's culture I appreciate. The wage is at least livable where I live. Unlimited paid time off and wellness days/company holidays are great too. I'd give Dynatrace five stars and take no issue in working here until retirement if I were paid a more competitive wage.

Cons

After around four years at Dynatrace, I earn $55K (40%) less than the median consultant salary based on the data provided here, despite residing in a higher-than-average cost-of-living area, close to Portland. From the reported salaries, I see that most newly hired consultants are making 10-20k more starting off than I currently am, most of them in areas with a lower cost of living. It feels a bit like a slap in the face and makes me feel downtrodden. In my experience, work-life balance can be somewhat difficult for those seeking promotions or better-paying roles if joining the company as a consultant. I am consistently stretched pretty thin due to high expectations from both my customer and Dynatrace leadership. The latter's expectations include continuous certification requirements (Dynatrace and external), regular training, participation in global/services/team calls, preparation and presentation of quarterly business reviews and value stories, and maintenance of a planner tool the customer does not even use, on top of fulfilling the numerous core responsibilities of a full-time consultant for a demanding client. These pressures would feel justified if I made the additional 55k that the average consultant here appears to make.

Thank you for sharing your experience so candidly. We’re sorry to hear that you’re feeling undervalued—especially after four years of dedication. Your feedback is important, and we understand how discouraging it can be to feel stretched thin without fair recognition. We’ve shared your comments with leadership, and we’re committed to reviewing how we support and reward our team members. While we do offer annual promotion and merit cycles, along with a total rewards package that includes unlimited PTO, Wellness Days, and mental health resources, we know these benefits don’t replace feeling seen and fairly compensated. Thank you again for your honesty and for being part of Dynatrace. We’re listening, and we’ll carry your feedback forward as we continue striving to improve.

Pros

Lots of ways to learn. Lots of documentation.

Cons

Lots of studying Company transparency not there when the company was clearly going through a rough patch the management refused to acknowledge
