Pros

Flexible Work Hours Highly Challenging Work Cutting Edge Technology Relaxed Business Casual Work Environment Great Location in the North Suburbs of Chicago A company that you can take pride in

Cons

Business technology positions are looked at as cost centers for the company rather than vital employees. Positions that require pagers are sometimes very stressful but management is not sympathetic to the long hours.

Pros

There are always new challenges. Work doesn't get dull. I feel appreciated. There are opportunities for movement within the company. People are willing to help others out.

Cons

There is no separation of development and support. I would say the average work week is 40-45 hours if you stay focused but when rotating through primary support you are expected to be available 24/7 for the duration (1 - 2 weeks at a time). Not always a steady 9-5, some days a crisis hits and it can be closer to a 24 hour day even though the week still balances to around the low 40 hrs a week.
