Pros

For the most part Dexcom has embraced WFH, allowing for the flexibility to work from home when you don't need to be in. Pay is decent (better than other big name med - device in the area) and they are willing to pay more if you find a better paying opportunity outside of Dexcom (if you're worth it). The teams have been great to work with as well, everyone wants to get the job done and done well.

Cons

Dexcom has poor QA/QE and it feels that they are just rubber stamping most things. This is poor practice in an FDA audited industry. Feedback is almost non-existent it seems. They also seem to hire a lot of individuals from Aerospace / DoD, which to be fair is regulated. However, the overlap appears to stop there. Then do to poor training / procedures, they ignore things like GDP.

Pros

If you want to travel, you'll have the opportunity to within the AME and some other Operations groups. They do still have Work from Home policies (2022), so that's nice compared to some other companies.

Cons

- Not enough people to truly be able to comfortably complete tasks / projects on time. Labeled as a normal thing too, "That's Dexcom", "Welcome to Dexcom". - Unreasonable schedules for most projects - Groups are too Silo'd - Quality Team doesn't seem to actually review documents (likely cause they are over worked) - Too much like a Startup for the size of the company - Weak pay raises considering inflation (Let's just say that the raise for an average employee who did everything they were assigned to do came no where near inflation in 2022 let alone what one might expect of a normal year raise at any other company), be prepared to have to look elsewhere to keep you pay competitive with raising cost of living (whether you switch or use it as leverage for an inhouse raise) - Weak Employee retention (because of the issues above)
