Advisory Analyst Pros and Cons
Pros
Solid pay, some projects are good, good experience for a corporate job straight out of college, great benefits and regularly decent hours.
Cons
Company has a very "drink the koolaid" culture, office politics are especially important for promotions and even just getting work (projects), the system to get work/projects is kinda backwards and if you are low on things to do you get blamed for things you can't control, the "busy season" will mess with your hours taking them from 45 easily to 65+, management will try to get you to do things you aren't meant to with the statement "the expectation is" with no prior existing goal post there, constant rolling layoffs targeting high earners and seniors all the way down to recent hires within the month (no one is safe, creates a sense of dread)
