Pros
General, I think Deloitte is a great firm with a solid global reputation for valuing its people. The challenge is that since each member firm is its own entity, management styles and culture can vary widely from country to country. Pros include being able to tap into global resources, mobilizing quickly when necessary for projects.
Cons
Cons would be more specific to Deloitte Singapore. The corporate culture here is nothing like Deloitte globally. It is hierarchical, tends to lead by fear rather than example, puts little value and demonstrates little understanding of client relationships, and makes no effort to stymie the very high staff turnover. There are some very talented staff, but enthusiasm tends to be brow beaten and disappear fairly quickly, and the general thought is that it is best to 'keep one's head down'. Work processes are also extraordinarily inefficient and archaic.
