      Pros

      I really like the people I work with. Everyone is smart and very competent.

      Cons

      The salary is not comparable to the amount of work. Also it is hard to transfer positions despite the fact that the company says they promote internal transfers.

      Pros

      Although the company is very large so experiences may vary based on service lines and segments, overall I think Deloitte is a good place to work in the sense that they seem to sincerely value and invest in their human captial. Other pro for me is the 'Up or Out' mentality that weeds out low performers that could otherwise lead to workplace inequality and discontentment.

      Cons

      As a large organization, it requires lots of compliance training. Since it is also an Audit firm, the independence clearance process is a mess.

      Opportunities for training Plenty of On-the-job experience very quickly Quick to hand out large areas of responsibility to young staff

      There are several fundamental challenges with working at Deloitte which can be a blessing or a curse depending on your personality and your ambitions. They include: -No room for challenging the status-quo (keep your ideas for your team and firm improvement to yourself), -If you are the entrepreneurial type this is not the inspiration you’re looking for, -If you think you will be recognized for working harder than others, you will not, -If you think you will be compensated according to industry averages or based on merit, you will be let down, -As mentioned on other accounting sites, the firm is short staffed, Partners over promise to their clients, and team members are underpaid, -If you’ve heard about a work-life balance, be warned that that means sacrificing a life for work with no prospects of one
