Pros

Amazing technology, continuing to innovate, with some of the smartest engineers in the game! Potential to make money when/IF the CEO stops dangling an IPO in front of us and throws his employees a bone.

Cons

This place is awful. Leadership (White Boys Club) is toxic, abusive, and disrespectful. If you dare bring an issue to them, you become a target and HR does absolutely nothing to protect the employees subject to harassment and retaliation. The comp plan is a joke. OTE is intentionally complicated and increases after 2H. They've overhired these past few years and territories are laughable. Most people are living off their base, with a little help from consumption. As an example, last FY they gave AEs RECOVERABLE DRAWS for 3-6-9 months depending on your segment because reps were leaving in droves. It felt like a payday loan and most reps took it because they weren't making money. Sales Ops - GTM communication is redundant. One forecast call with RD, another with VP, and follow up with SVP because they all have different metrics looking for -- why not simplify? Or use the data -- it's a data company. It's so unorganized and inconsistent with processes and expectations. Submitting ticket after ticket for legal, finance, support, and sales ops -- fighting internally and externally and having your accounts wait in frustration. No WLB. High-stress environment. No real opportunity for career progression. Benefits are not the best, and no 401K match.

Large market, and significant VC funding.

Cons

1) The politics and internal pontifications that sales leadership forces, are riduclous. Clearly, sales leadership overall is unwilling(call reluctant/afraid) to engage business executives where the value really matters. They spend 80%+ of everyones time scrutinizing internally, not w/customers. 2) HR will not stand up for, or listen to employees.

Pros

Good pay (good, not great); excellent benefits; work from home; mostly friendly ICs

Cons

Back-channeling is a real thing. Good candidates got knocked out b/c of this. Terrible policy. Almost worse than giving candidates verbal offers to then rescind (which has happened...) No hire lists.. horrible. PERF - a huge waste of time for everyone involved that is adorned by leadership. Every 6 months you have to fake enthusiasm about your job / write 'anonymous' reviews about your colleagues. Every week you have to do a 'dear diary' entry about your week and goals. More time-wasting activities that go into the ether.. Middle managers who do what exactly? So many middle managers who are bonafide kindergarten teachers. It is truly unclear what a lot of leadership actually does. If I had to hear one more time "we want to set you up for success" or "we are here to support you" with no actual plan behind what that meant I was going to faint. Goals were arbitrarily set and moved around often with little to no context or data to support them. General toxic vibe - nobody taking time off/working during vacation and sick days. Everybody complains about processes and leadership but then fake smiles during meetings and says everything is hunky dory. Who is Hunky Dory?? Peak corporate robotics. Our all-company event in February in Vegas served mostly inedible food for the entire length of the mandatory 2-3 day event. I've never been to an event with such disgusting food. Who planned that thing, Fyre Festival people? Diversity is not in any way measured by recruiting. It's really just a talking point. Fringe candidates from underrepresented backgrounds are hardly given any consideration if any at all. The place was fun up until the first hiring pause in December '22 - since then, a lot of talking out of two sides of the mouth from leadership leading up to the layoffs that were 'not going to happen.' -- This is simply a reflection of working in recruiting here. The product is great..
