Pros

Working at Databricks has been an incredible experience! The company truly fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture, where every team member is empowered to do their best work. The emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that everyone feels valued and supported in their roles. Databricks offers amazing benefits, including equity, flexible time off, comprehensive healthcare, and even wellness perks like a monthly allowance for fitness or meditation. The leadership is visionary, with a clear mission to innovate in the data and AI space, making it exciting to be part of such groundbreaking work. The company also invests heavily in professional growth through learning budgets and career development opportunities. It’s no surprise that Databricks is consistently recognized as one of the best places to work. If you’re looking for a place where you can thrive both personally and professionally, Databricks is the place to be!

Cons

While Databricks as a whole is phenomenal, leadership at the local level can sometimes fall short. For example, in Costa Rica, the Director of Operations lacks strong leadership skills, which can create challenges. However, this is an isolated issue and does not reflect the overall excellence of Databricks. The culture and people I work with remain amazing!

Pros

Leadership Transparency, Company Vision, Content of Work, Learning Opportunities & Growth

Cons

Given the pace of the business the volume of work is high, adaptability to change required, and as the organization grows it can be harder to continue to adapt on the fly because of volume of people needed to agree and buy-off on changes increases.
