no salary revisions after 7 years

I worked as senior designer for a large bank through another consulting firm. When DXC won the contract to delivery the bank's design service, they ask me to join them. I was promised multiple times that I would perform exactly the same job in the same conditions as with my former employer. However, the very day I joined they told me that those conditions would not be maintained. When I confronted the people who recruited me they told me I was a disloyal and conflictive employee. I told them this could have legal consequences and after a few weeks they fired me. With this they left the bank's design service unmanned to the surprise of the bank managers, but apparently for them it is more important to show employees that they should not defend themselves when they are lied to and played.
