Pros

Interesting jobs. Apart from that not much else.

Cons

Chances of a pay rise close to zero. Will sell you out to anyone for a dollar. Management don't care where you work, for who, or what you work on, even if its a bad career move. They have no loyalty to their employees. The first hint of a downturn and they will sack people. Before Christmas 2018, 10 employees were sacked, mainly project managers, then after Christmas (2 months later) they were asking employees on the bench if they knew any project managers that wanted a job. DWS is more like a sham employment scheme than a proper company. If you aren't highly skilled and highly employable, do not work for this company.

I'm glad you found your job interesting. DWS provides annual pay raises based on performance. While we understand that not getting a pay rise can be very disappointing, we encourage you to reach out to our HR team for guidance and feedback. Furthermore, we care about our employees and try our best to align projects to their career ambitions. However, working for a consultancy means that sometimes you have to work on clients and projects you may not like.

Pros

Will get exposure to a variety of clients, Glenn and Mark are great people to work with. Good monthly company get-together, where you get to interact with other consultants - these are great opportunities to understand what is happing in the tech world and in the market

Cons

Body Shop - So don't expect much support. You are there to make money for them. Being on the bench is a nightmare- especially if you are the bench captain: you will be cleaning the kitchen, grocery run to buy tea, milk :), act as a receptionist, make sure printer is up and working....

We're glad you enjoyed the exposure to a variety of clients and working with Glen and Mark. The leadership team in Sydney pride themselves in providing a positive and engaging environment. Concerning your Cons, we have a flat structure at DWS and expect consultants to be willing to roll up their sleeves and help out their colleagues.

Pros

- Large technical diversity - Pretty down to earth people - Opportunity for client change and project change - Appreciate old and new skillsets

Cons

- Lot's of politics especially from ones not doing much - Plenty of people kick'n back, whist you work like a dog - Engineered failures - On your own a lot of the time - Blame games / relentless shifted blames
