      Pros

      Great place to learn, people are very approachable, opportunity to explore different roles, flexible timings

      Cons

      Lots of dirty politics in Purchasing, Micro management by people that you don't report to, unambitious locals working for the company, lots of people with NO work, lots of people in Quality with NO basic understanding of quality sciences, lots of rednecks, low pay.. I have seen other functional areas which are fast paced so the things that I have mentioned above may not be applicable to entire Cummins. No matter what I will always be loyal to this company..

      Good company to work when times are good, prepare to be laid off when times get little tough

      Pros

      Compensation for beginners, diversity, benefits are better than many, company has good socially responsible charities, engineering work flow is organized. Some technical specialists are brilliant. You would be lucky if you get to work with them.

      Cons

      There is a lot of politics, limited growth opportunity, it takes longer to do little things. Incompetent people are in position of power. Employees in this office get inferior treatment (in terms of growth opportunities, facilities, compensations etc.) compared to those at Columbus, IN. Faulty performance review system. They feel it necessary to kick 10% people every year. If you end up with a wrong manager, like I did, then you would regret joining this company.

      Diversity, Keeps you busy which gives you the ability to hone your skills, Enables you switch groups and gain new knowledge.

      Cons

      Mass layoffs every couple of years, HR does not do a good job matching new employees with positions they would fit well in.
