Pros

Many good people just trying to make a living

Cons

Management panders to left wing liberals and gay rights advocates. Uses a high percentage of offshore contractors which displaces the need for US employment. This also holds impacts US employee growth and salaries. Not an American first strategy.

Pros

I honestly don't have any

Cons

*Frequent turnover, very low morale, forced ranking creates intense animosity and fear amongst employees *You get good reviews including bonuses and salary increases but get canned the very next month. *Don't bother taking a job here unless you want to lose sleep every night about whether or not you'll have a job (especially if you make roughly six figures) *Very cliquish and unless you do it "the Cummins Way," you are not welcome *Competition among colleagues because of the forced ranking prohibits success and progression *Don't expect to take or use any vacation time and plan to work at least 60+ hours per week

Pros

Laid back, flexible time-off for emergency engagement.

Cons

Clueless about upcoming technology. Very hostile towards changes, innovations, new ideas. which is an irony because their motivation is excellence by innovation. If you want to survive in this company, don't even think about innovating. Just follow what your managers have planned out for you and improve a bit here and there based on his/her idea. If you try to push your own ideas, prepare to get shunned because your manager then won't get credit. Beware of managers who claim all credits of your work without even mentioning you, but then shift all the blame to you when problems arise. Note: These cons apply only to Columbus, IN headquarter. The branch in Cummins China Investment in Beijing is the complete opposite. Always embracing new ideas and adventurous innovators.
