Pros

Worked with some really smart people, Mature organization - Systems and processes are well established, Immigrant friendly, Good work-life balance depending on the role / manager, Good reputation, Average pay for the location

Cons

1. Hard to grow professionally - It's hard to move-up. You plateau after a certain point. Lot of leaders linger around in the same pay grade for ever since they cannot grow. You will be competing with someone for a job who has 15 years more experience than you. For people with high aspirations, this acts as a roadblock. Moreover, the company hasn't been growing off for a while which makes the situation really bad when it comes to opportunities. Unless, you have a strong network, you cannot grow. 2. Location - Columbus, IN might not be for everyone 3. Cyclical market - Hire and fire once every 3 years 4. No risk taking ability - It's a very conservative environment. Employees aren't encouraged to think out of the box. They want you to follow the process.

Pros

Good pay, especially for the amount of effort required

Cons

Work is boring and unnecessary, which makes it hard to want to go to work. That's why everyone in my department got in at 9am and left by 4pm.

Pros

Good place to work, hourly ocu employees have pretty good job security. Good friendly work environment and culture. Good flexibility in terms of allowing you to use vacation, or missing a few hours and making them up. Flexible overtime, never mandatory overtime for ocu hourly employees.Decent pay for what you do, but not the best. I've had opportunities for similar positions elsewhere that would pay more, but haven't left cause the environment and flexibility at Cummins seemed better. Overall it's

Cons

Health insurance isn't great all they offer are high deductible plans with a has. Pay isn't bad, but you could make more elsewhere. I haven't left cause most everyone else has mandatory overtime, and less flexibility of hours/vacation.
