Pros

Great Benefits Good Compensation Quarterly Bonus Travel/Cellphone expenses are reimbursed

Cons

They are losing a lot of good people. Not sure if they are not being treated correctly. The "Art Directors" in the Creative department need to stop forming personal relationships with junior employees. I have seen some inappropriate behavior in the office. Coming from a non-technical background, my interaction with the technical solutions managers has been difficult. One of the managers looks down on me every time I talk to him. I have also heard him boast about how this french company helps him evade NY taxes

Criteo Response

Hello, Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to submit your feedback. Every bit of feedback, even the negative reviews, are important learning to us on where we could improve further. We are very disappointed to see that overall you seem to be having a negative experience at Criteo. As a starting point, I would highly encourage you to discuss some of your concerns directly with your manager or with HR, so that we have an ability to understand them in more detail and address them appropriately. On your specific points raised: a) We actually monitor our attrition closely. While we do have employees who sometimes leave, and each departure is a huge loss for us, some amount of attrition is normal in any company, and we are not seeing anything outside of industry standards. Of course, each departure is a loss and the impact is still immeasurable. The point that you perceive this as "a lot of good people" only goes to highlight how impactful each loss actually is to us and our community. b) We are a tight community and many of our employees are friends outside of the work environment. If you are seeing something inappropriate, we do ask that you raise this through the formal channels so this can be investigated. We have high expectations of professionalism and this is a priority for us. c) We are fundamentally a technology company, and all our employees interacting with the product will be expected to have adequate technical skills for their roles. If this is an area you are struggling with, we encourage you to work with your manager on support d) International employees based in the US are subject to different tax laws - based on their individual circumstances, these sometimes work in their favour, and sometimes not. In either case, none of it is "evasion". Criteo is proud to use external auditors and tax consultancies to ensure our compliance with all regulatory obligations at all times. Again, we really encourage you to address these concerns directly with the company - we have no doubt that understanding them in more detail and working through solutions will help us all be a better place together!
