Pros

Challenging work -- ideal for young, up-and-coming journalists to get their feet wet. Brilliant editors who double as mentors. Delicious, healthy breakfast and lunch prepared by the company's private chefs make for great brain fuel.

Cons

Worst IT policies in the history of publishing. Overprotecting the company's precious "secrets" only obstructs employees from getting their jobs done in an efficient manner.

Pros

The gorgeous building with beautiful people working for the most prestigious magazines. The location of the building is also pretty nice since it's in the middle of Times Square. Also, the cafeteria really has amazing food options.

Cons

I call the building "death star" because it's full of fashion robots who have sold their soul to who knows what..people don't really care about you at this company. The pay is definitely not enough and I don't know why they pay their assistants as freelance. We don't get any vacation days and no health insurance. It's a dog-eat-dog world and people there get extremely jealous. Get ready to work your ass off.

Pros

You get to work on some of the most of the moment topics along with getting access to the world's best magazines. There are also a ton of perks such as sample sales, event invitations, and lots of fun free fashion stuff!

Cons

Growth is a bit slow compared to other companies. This is probably due to the fact that it is very corporate and there is a lot of structured processes. Additionally there is generally a large gap between levels making it difficult to take the next step or grow consistently within any department.
