Pros

Good benefits, access to the best industry resources and great opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals

Cons

Poor compensation for entry level positions and since promotions/pay-raises are based on % of current salary it becomes frustrating over time

Pros

Exposed to leading industry freelancers and talent. Extremely easy to contribute and pitch to the growing web team. Big name magazines are huge resume builders.

Cons

Print is very rigid and many employees are unnecessarily mean and nasty vs. being stern and revered. There's a strong sense of entitlement from a lot of the younger employees. No team building. Smaller salaries than competitors and little room to grow.
