Pros

Impressive company on CV; opportunities to work alongside top-tier talent both within the brand and with outside contribs and contractors

Cons

Brands are struggling to understand how to merge print and digital; some departments are very silo'd; teams are lean so people are expected to take on many responsibilities in one role

Pros

— Looks great on resume — Highly motivated (non-management) employees — Opportunity to explore creative ventures as long as they have revenue opportunities

Cons

— Don't really understand what it takes to be successful in a digital publishing environment — Rely on archaic publishing habits and strategies — Huge disparity in compensation for management vs. lower level employees (monetarily and otherwise)
