      Commscope is a hardware manufacturer that bought ARRIS, a software based company, and it was not a good match.

      Pros

      Benefits were good when I worked there but I believe they have been declining steadily.

      Cons

      Commscope has a very low R&D spend compared to a software development company like ARRIS. After acquiring ARRIS teams were either laid off or restricted so that products could not be successful.

      Pros

      People in your environment are smart and very understanding.

      Cons

      Upper management still think is a cable manufacturing company not a high tech company. After they acquired Arris they don’t know how to retain talent. Make it hard to keep highly skilled worker. And getting project delivers on time.
