      Software engineering for a cable company equipment division: Mixed Bag

      Pros

      A lot of knowledgeable people, friendly helpful. Same goes for management. For software engineering, there is an unusual variety of ages (25-70) and genders (>30% female). Remote work accepted.

      Cons

      General insecurity about the future prospects because of unsure long term plans and because the market for the ISP products is uncertain, with limited growth potential and a lot of competition from other technical solutions.
