      Great small company run like a Huge company

      Pros

      Great people to work with, not a lot of people that make your day dreadful.

      Cons

      Becoming more pre-occupied with non value-added departments under the DE&I umbrella by the day. They notify you that profit is down, but double down on paying for new "exclusive" trainings for a select few (based on their skin color) and hiring/creating high level positions that don't appear to provide any value to the company (save for some periodical company-wide e-mails that suggest which LGBT Netflix show to watch on the weekend...yes, really).

      Decent place to work but keep an eye on middle management

      Pros

      Pay and benefits are very good for the area You'll get to work with some very talented people Work schedule is usually flexible depending on position There doesn't seem to be any shortage of work for the foreseeable future (short to mid-term job security)

      Cons

      Collins is the same as any other large company. You can't trust middle/upper management to be loyal to you over the long run. They'll make broad changes and realignments that will probably impact you negatively in some way at some point in your tenure here. regardless of how hard you work, the contributions you make, or even how much your boss likes you. Keep this in mind and don't get too invested in this company. If something negative does happen, don't take it personally. Take the experience you gain and move on to the next thing. That's what I'll be doing in a few weeks.

      Pros

      The work/life balance is great. The products are very fascinating and will keep you learning daily.

      Cons

      Limited in vertical movement and salary increases once you join. A good amount of politics because it is a larger company. Training is pretty much non-existent. IT is probably the worst I've ever worked with.
