Pros

For an IT company typical, you can expect benefits like fruits, free yoga classes and so on. Basically most of the benefits you can think of, are offered here. The best is actually the work environment. I truly like to go to work just because of the people. I also prefer to work onsite over working remotely. Most are really friendly, humorous and helpful. The work life balance is actually quite good. Of course, you have to look after yourself to not do too many overhours or not compensate them. But remote work is possible, flexible working times (from 10 to 16) but if you need to do something in between there's no problem to just compensate after.

Cons

Well, salaries are typical for Barcelona and therefore low compared to what software engineers are getting paid in other places. Even though they are working on their system of how someone can get promoted, it still has some downsides. In order to get promoted, you will have to achieve badges in which you have to proof your knowledge (through interviews, videos, demos etc.). It seems like an easy system to get promoted, but the amount of time you have to spend in your free time just to proof your knowledge can get quite high. They only pay certificates if you do an AEM certificate first. AEM is, if you don't get deeply involved (which most don't), pretty boring.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, for highlighting the pros and your honesty in pointing out what can be improved. The employee evaluation and promotion process includes but is not exclusively based on attaining badges. Factors like performance, skills, contribution and organizational impact form part of the process. The badge system helps us evaluate specific skill sets and wherever needed, to support our employees in designing a training plan to improve or update their skills, so they can continue to grow. It also helps us evaluate the individual performance on specific skills, and assign people to projects where their expertise can be properly showcased. As an Adobe Global Alliance Partner, Netcentric works with the Adobe Experience Cloud technology, a suite of innovative products that help our clients meet the challenges of an evolving digital marketing world. We value all of our employees' thoughts, so please always feel free to reach out to your People Success Lead or Talent Management team with your feedback and concerns.

Pros

The team is nice and friendly. There are a lot of company events organized. You really like to go to work. Everything is quite transparently communicated and you can participate in circles to decide about changes within the company (holacracy). Also a lot of goodies like fruits, cerials, once a month a paid lunch together and so on. Super flexible hours and work from home policy!

Cons

So far I‘d say the only disadvantage is the salary of juniors and the small difference of salary when changing from trainee to junior developer. The badge system to achieve a higher level means usually extra work besides your usual daily project work.

Very bad appraisal. Does not care for employees. No new technologies to work with. Poor infrastructure. In all everything is bad as it is not an IT company its KPO
