Pros

Very good discount and beautiful new headquarters in Hudson Yards. Good health benefits and strong bonus and stock incentives for mid management.

Cons

The management is very poor. They lack leadership skills. It is a culture of micro managers who do not allow capable employees make decisions. Management lacks strong decision making skills. Poor performers are allowed to stay on due to political reasons.

Pros

Beautiful office building and cafe

Cons

You would assume that when starting any new position that you will be trained on the job duties at hand. This was not the case for Coach. I entered as a new employee and was shrugged off by my Manager on how to perform daily tasks. When later asked to perform such task, I would respond with "I was not taught how to do this", but it would fall back on me as if it was my fault I was not taught. When I asked for help and clarification on how to do the task, no one would come teach me, even after numerous requests. For my specific position, there were about 5/6 different programs used daily to complete the job. Of these, only one of them was not an in-house created program specifically designed for Coach, so there as no way I would have previously been well versed in the execution of the program, yet it was assumed that I knew. My team also was not very friendly, and did not take the time to get to know me and welcome their new team member. No one on my team showed me where the bathroom, printer, break room etc was, but someone else not on my team rather showed me. It was a very stiff atmosphere. Coach ended up letting me go due to not meeting 'productivity levels', but in reality, I was not meeting these 'productivity levels' because I was not trained on how to perform the tasks!! They cowardly called me 10 after I had left work that day and gave me the news, instead of respectfully and professionally letting me know in person. This ended up in my leaving some of my belongings at my desk. I have now just received a phone call from a representative at Coach that my belongings have been 'misplaced'. Do I find this to be accidentally? Absolutely not. Now I am out an expensive pair of shoes among other small belongings that I will be receiving a check for the lost cost. I now see why this position specifically has been a temporary contract role, and why the 3 candidates who came before me left/did not work out as well. It is not that we are the problem, but seems to be the team and their lack of communication skills and training.

Pros

great discounts, same level co workers are nice, and you learn a lot since coach is a machine.

Cons

abusive middle management, i was SCREAMED at multiple times for minor errors, once for not setting my printer margins correctly on a spread sheet, sometimes to the point where my manager would corner me in their office and scream at me till i cried... long hours, minimal training, often left to fend for yourself. Very much a sink or swim culture. High turn over. Weight loss from stress.
