      Pros

      Pays reasonably well...if you are not that bright, you can survive for ever in Cisco, place is full of dead weight so you'll fit right in.

      Cons

      Work is not interesting, people can be downright hostile, raises/rewards have no relation to the work you put in.

      1. It has wonderful work culture. 2. It encourages it's employees to be "YOU", you have full freedom to be yourself and this is when they believe the maximum potential can be unleashed. 3. The leadership is top-notch right from bottom to the top. 4. Cisco respects each of its engineers, and it gives you full freedom to explore your talent, and unleash the potential within you. 5. It produces ground breaking products that are worth the experience to be a part of and contribute towards the same.

      Cons

      Really? If you have many Pro's i don't even think even the marginal con s are not really a con. However, I don't have anything to share which would be a con.

      Options awarded prior to the dotcom bust can be worth millions. Good outplacement services Some managers have integrity

      Cons

      Long hours Good performers can be laid off for being in the wrong place at the wrong time Layoffs focus on those with 10+ yrs experience Managers can write reviews that are entirely political, with no consideration of the work completed In PDI, they laid off almost everyone in SJ, while the entire management hierachy planned their own exits - awful.
