      Good stable company.Talented workforce.Very efficient and frugal.

      Highly political environment. Lots of budget cuts and employees not sure on what they will be working on next. Perception is used as the measure of success in this company.

      profitable sure and great technology. great benefits helps. work/life balance with possibility to work from home, supported by collaborating tools.

      Cons

      declining....not a market leader but mediocre follower. lousy execution hidden behind smoking mirrors. too many management layers and even worse, poor management (decisions).

      Good work/life balance. Bonuses were reasonably good until this year.

      Cons

      When on the same week the company announces a layoff of 5000 employees, you also have the CEO reporting record compensation for himself, it tends to affect motivation within. Cisco has a tendency of putting or promoting under-qualified individuals in key roles. At this point I feel the company is in an irreversible downward spiral. Many executives are jumping ship in the face of Software Defined Networking and the disruption it represents to Cisco's fat margins on its core product line.
