Business Outlook
Pros
Excellent pay (includes bonus), good benefits, flexible hours, lots of different things going on in the company if you want to switch. Company is the leader in the core of the internet, which is a huge plus as the world revolves ever more around the internet.
Cons
Cisco's upper management has grandiose hopes to lead the world in anything related to the internet, and frankly we don't have the expertise in things like tablets, social networking, etc. That is stretching the company thin and putting undo pressure on developers. Job security has not been good over the past decade, with layoffs every couple of years. Morale is currently very bad. Stock is at trading at 1998 levels.
