      Pros

      Famous brand, lots of internal resources. So big that you can take the initiative to do your own thing. Different culture in different parts of the business. Good benefits (insurance, vacation). Love all the bleeding edge tech that you can use.

      Cons

      Politics is pervasive and saturates all decisions no matter how unimportant. Success depends on how good you are at schmoozing, the group you're in, your boss and who likes him/her.

      Pros

      Cisco as a company is trying to redefine how businesses operate. They definitely want to try to change the world and are willing to take risks.

      Cons

      At the end of the day, Cisco is really fundamentally a hardware company. Most of the innovation is happening in software and Cisco while wanting to make the transition, continues to stumble. There is too much of a reliance on acquisitions to grow the company.
