Pros
Cisco is a very ethical and humane place to work. The honest work ethic is exemplified by execs so that they are setting good examples for everyone. Sr management is well organized and they have long-range plans in place for years to come. Great opportunities to learn, employess are mostly empowered to do the jobs they need to do and in general are given the necessary resources. Very process-oreinted company which allows them to be so efficient.
Cons
Lots of jobs of all levels and disciplines are moving to India, creating a lot of uncertainty among US-based employees. While employees generally understand the need to have a global presence, Cisco is sacrificing quality where we stood out in the industry to save money. In reality, the savings are not that great because there's a lot of rework required to achieve the quality we have always emphasized and worked hard to maintain. It's very frustrating and disheartenting.
