The main drawbacks are around pay, transparency, and progression. There has been a real-terms pay cut for most people for two years, and no meaningful opportunity to discuss salary or understand how pay decisions were being made. Pay-related conversations happen off the record, and without documentation, which makes the process feel deliberately and oddly secretive, and uncomfortable. The work itself can be repetitive, with limited variety or sense of development, and there is favouritism in how opportunities, recognition, and treatment are distributed. Overall, the company is poorly structured for people looking to progress, be fairly rewarded, or have open conversations about their role.
