Pros

Multinational company, has offices all over Europe and the world. International opportunities for consultants. You can go abroad if you like quite easily. Highly organized (but ruthless) sales machine. Good brand recognition due to strong PR.

Cons

This company works like a temp agency for IT services, with a PMO (powerpoint-salesmen office) that does the project bidding and proposals. When they do win a contract it will be maintained by a recruiting manager that does the staffing with existing or new consultants. The problem here is that consultants are treated like expendable merchandise. Managers are salesmen-types with zero ethics which will do the best to reap the highest margin from consultants while selling them for the highest price to the client (usually large corporations that hire for IT roles outside their core activity and with no added value to their business). The company is sales-driven to the core, which literally means that all they do is only there to appease the client requirements and win new contracts. Any half-decent training is done solely to qualify to win a bid or fulfill already established contractual obligations and mainly delivered by other consultants already experienced with that particular technology. Managers will often pressure you into accepting to replace parts of your salary with other benefits. They will force you to notify them of any new job postings or threats ahead of the official announcements, while you work at the client, so they can have the advantage over competitors. You are constantly encouraged to bring your acquaintances to work for this company, for a very small one-time payout, which naturally is more of a benefit to your manager than to yourself. There are annual performance reviews that are mostly used to blackmail employees into generating more sales (which is essentially doing their manager's job) or to find excuses to freeze their salary even further. The pay is bad, even considering the economic recession.

Pros

I was attracted by the Brand which I thought was respected, I thought they had strong processes and teams supporting their consultant.

Cons

the reality showed that it was poorly managed, lots of politics and totally incompetent manager, who was actually more a salesguy looking only to get bonuses than somebody you can trust.
